How your listings get here

We read your published season from your own website or ticketing system, the same page your audience sees. Where a site offers structured data (schema.org events, a WordPress events feed, Spektrix, Tessitura, OvationTix, Ludus or a sitemap of show pages) we use that; otherwise we read the page text. Every listing records the page it came from, links to it, and shows the date it was last checked. We re-read every source weekly and pick up changes automatically.

Each production is listed as one run, with its opening and closing dates, the performance schedule, and the individual performances when you publish them. Descriptions on our production pages are written by us from the facts on your page; we never copy your copy. Ticket links go straight to your box office with nothing in between.

Claim your page

A member of your staff can manage your theater's page. Theater staff can edit the theater's own description and ticket link, answer audience questions in "Ask the regulars" and reply to audience impressions of your shows, marked as from the theater, correct a production listing, add photos and playbills, and are the first people we write to when something on a listing looks off. Open your theater's page and choose Claim this page, or write to us.

If you would rather push your season than have us read it, publish a JSON file at any URL and tell us where it is. The format is small on purpose:

Dates are ISO 8601 with an offset. Anything you leave out we fill from your page. We will publish a full specification and an embeddable widget once a few theaters are using it; if you want to be one of them, say hello.

What audiences get

Shows within any radius of any place, a Kids & family page for parents, a trip planner that finds shows along a route, follows for theaters, shows, writers and performers, and a community of people who mark that they are going and say how it was. All of it free, for life.
