Every show and every theater on this site gets its own page, written in plain language for people who are curious rather than experts. What's the difference between a musical and a play with music? Is this one right for an eight-year-old? How long does it run, and is there an intermission? We're writing those answers ourselves, one show at a time. And we take community, youth and children's theater as seriously as Broadway: for a lot of people, that is where the love of theater starts.

Production listings are drawn from each theater's own published season and checked before they appear.
